Check your whole screen step by step
- Start the guided check and dim the room: dark tests need darkness.
- For each solid-color test, scan edge to edge and mark what you see.
- Use the motion tests for ghosting, frame skipping and refresh rate — these are measured, not guessed.
- Mark every test good, problem or skip. Your answers build the findings list.
- Re-check problem tests after changing brightness, cable or refresh-rate settings.
- Persistent black dots, bleed patches or burn-in ghosts are hardware cases for warranty or service.
Screen test questions
Which results are measured and which need my eyes?
Refresh rate, frame skipping and ghosting speed are sampled live by the browser. Dead pixels, bleed, glow, uniformity, burn-in, banding and contrast need your eyes — the browser cannot see your panel.
What is the difference between bleed and IPS glow?
Bleed stays in the same edge spots when you move your head. Glow moves with the viewing angle. This suite tests both separately so you can tell them apart.
My refresh rate measures lower than advertised. Why?
Check the OS display settings, the cable and the port. Many monitors ship at 60 Hz by default even when the panel supports 144 Hz or more.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Every test renders with web standards in your browser and stores nothing. Findings exist only until you close the tab.
