Will my logo make the code unreadable?
No, while it stays small: the logo covers at most 24% of the symbol on a clean backdrop, and correction switches to H automatically, which restores up to 30% of damaged modules. As a reference, a 25 by 25 code downloaded at 1024 px with an 18% logo shows the image about 184 px wide. Keep contrast high and test with two different phones before printing.
Which style scans most reliably?
Classic squares with dark modules on a light background and a full quiet zone. Rounded squares and dots scan well on screens; for small prints keep classic squares and at least 2 cm of width so phone cameras resolve every module. Very long texts raise the QR version and shrink every module, so for tiny prints shorten the link first.
Why does my scanner fail on colored codes?
Almost always low contrast or a cropped quiet zone. Bring the colors back toward dark-on-light, keep at least 2 modules of margin, and avoid glossy reflections over the symbol. Recheck the preview: if the warning about low contrast shows, scanners will struggle too. Dots and rounded shapes need clean edges: export PNG at 1024 px or more, or SVG for print.
