Good to know
Maximum size or number of groups?
Maximum size is a limit, not a fixed size: remainders are distributed so group sizes stay close and no one is left out. Choose the number of groups when the count matters more than the size.
What if a name appears twice on my list?
Identical names on separate lines count as separate entries, and each entry is assigned exactly once. Use Remove duplicates to keep one entry per identical name, ignoring case.
Is there a size limit for sharing?
Links have a size limit: when a list is too large, download an editable file instead. A link carries the participants, group names and assignments, and the recipient opens the same groups. Sharing never draws again.
